Youth Faith Formation

Faith Formation at Saint Joseph the Workman Cathedral

Faith formation is at the heart of the Church’s mission—to form disciples who know Jesus Christ, love Him, and live the Gospel in the world. At Saint Joseph the Workman Cathedral, we are actively discerning and developing a renewed and intentional approach to faith formation that will begin in the coming year.

As the mother church of the Diocese of La Crosse, the Cathedral is uniquely positioned to be a place where faith is not only celebrated in the sacred liturgy, but also nurtured through ongoing formation for all ages. Our vision for faith formation is rooted in the life of the parish, centered on the sacraments, and grounded in the rich tradition of the Catholic Church. While details are still being finalized, our hope is to offer formation opportunities that are reverent, relational, and deeply connected to the life of prayer and worship at the Cathedral.

Faith formation is not simply a program; it is a lifelong journey of growing in relationship with Christ and His Church. Whether preparing for the sacraments, seeking a deeper understanding of the faith, or accompanying children and families as they grow in holiness, formation is meant to support and strengthen the call each of us has received in Baptism.

At this time, faith formation programming for the upcoming year is still in development. We ask for your patience and prayers as we thoughtfully build a formation model that reflects the dignity of the Cathedral, serves our parish community well, and faithfully hands on what the Church has received through the ages.

We look forward to sharing more details in the months ahead and welcoming individuals and families into deeper participation in the life of the Cathedral. Please continue to watch for updates as plans develop, and know that the Cathedral remains committed to forming disciples rooted in truth, beauty, and the life of grace.
