Youth Faith Formation

Families with children in 1st -5th Grade: Wednesdays from 5:30pm-6:45pm at Mary Mother of the Church. Optional meal provided from 5:00pm-5:30pm

Families with children in grades 1st-5th participate in a Family Formation model program. At least one parent from each family is expected to attend with their child. Children are separated by grade level and taught a lesson at their age level while parents learn about the same topic and participate in discussions as a large group. We generally meet in-person twice a month focusing on a different topic each month. The weeks we do not meet in person, families are given “At Home Lessons” to complete. In addition to formal lessons we have opportunities to engage in other liturgical celebrations and activities as a large group. All families with youth in 1st through 5th grade should contact Kristin Johnson to inquire about the program (kjohnson@newmanlc.org or 608-788-5483 ext. 309).

Middle (6th-8th) and High School (9th-12th) Youth: Wednesdays from 7:00pm-8:30pm at Blessed Sacrament Parish. Snacks will be provided.

Both middle and high school youth meet in-person on a weekly basis. Let it be clear that,  although the two age groups are meeting at the same place and same time, they are separated for their distinct programs. This allows each group to receive material/lessons suitable to their age. Over the course of the year we explore many topics about the Catholic faith and how they are fundamentally connected to our identity and purpose as human beings. Families with youth in 6th through 12th grade should contact Samuel Obert to inquire about the program (sobert@mmoclacrosse.org or 608-788-5483 ext. 315).
